He’s a regular at Ronnie Scotts - and no wonder - he’s a great player with bags of verve and a gorgeous punchy tone! He performs at Woodstock for the first time alongside a stellar rhythm section of Rob Barron (piano), bassist Paul Jefferies and one of the most popular and applauded drummers in the UK - Steve Brown.

Quite possibly the most exciting jazz violinist around, Ben’s high tempos, sharp articulation and almost acrobatic stage presence produce extraordinary performances wherever he goes. Catch this very special show also featuring the talents of Jez Cook (guitars), Paul Jefferies (upright bass) and Nick Millward (drums).

Bebop pianist John Donegan has to be one of the most prolific jazz music composers of modern times. His recordings have received critical acclaim from the Irish and English music press for their sense of lyricism and creativity. John has invited the much loved, critically acclaimed English trumpet player and educator Steve Waterman to interpret the melodies and completing the lineup we'll have Paul Jefferies on double bass and the excellent Robert Brian on drum kit for what will be a delightful evening of jazz.

The Robert Brian Quartet delivers a delightfully curated mix of jazz styles from swing and Latin, to funk and even a touch of drum & bass. The quartet is ably led and hosted by Grammy winning drummer Robert Brian, renowned for his great technique and education sessions presented on the global stage. This show will look at how great jazz drummers have influenced jazz in many of its wonderful forms. Rob’s band incorporates the unique talents of saxophonist Mat Sibley who has played with Scissor Sisters, Super Furry Animals, Gomez, Tony Christie, Martha Reeves and Joe Longthorne amongst others and has appeared on numerous TV and radio shows worldwide. PLUS we welcome the awesome keyboardist John-paul Gard with Paul Jefferies (on both bass guitar and double bass).
Northern Lights Quartet

Three of this superb band hail from a great deal further north than the Watford Gap!! Pianist Andrzej Baranek, guitarist Tim David Williams and drummer Gaz Hughes are very much northern based musicians, where they enjoy well deserved popularity and much critical acclaim for their work in their own right as first-call musicians and various northern based top level jazz ensembles. Bassist Paul Jefferies will be guesting to complete the quartet. The Northern Lights Quartet will bring a truly entertaining clutch of classic jazz pieces to Woodstock with an emphasis on swing from the 40s and 50s and Latin specials from the likes of Antonio Carlos Jobim and more.
